In Loving Memory - Barbara Lincoln

Born in Concord, NH, Barbara was the oly child of Albert and Doris Bachelder. She spent her childhood in Bradford NH until 16 years old. They moved to Boston MA in 1942 as her dad was stationed in the US Nave Se graduated from Girls High School in Boston in 1944.
She then moved to New Hyde Park, Long Island, NY. In 1944, Barbara joined the U.S.Cadet Nurse Corps, where she attended Lenox Hill Hospital of Nursing in NY.C. and graduated as a RN in 1947. She then attended St. John’s University in Brooklyn and received her certification as a Public Health Nurse. In 1967, she attended NY State University at Oneonta, where she received her School-Nurse Teacher Degree. In 1978, she received her certification as a Nurse Practitioner from Stonybrook. In 1979, she received her B.S.at NY State University, Empire College. Barbara worked as a nurse-teacher in Huntington, LI, NY from 1967 until her retirement in 1979.
Barbara worked in many fields of nursing.
She married Donald Pantke on June 3, 1949, where they bought a house and lived in Levittown, NY until he passed away in March 1062.They had three children. In November of 1967, Barbara married Judson Lincoln, who had four children that they raised together in Commack, NY. In 1969, the house burned down, and they had it totally rebuilt. She and Judson retired in 1979 and moved to Inverness, Florida, where they continued to travel, and were active in the community.
Barbara was active in both the Boy and Girl Scout programs. She was an officer in the Amarynth in Smithtown, past President of the Noble Ladies of the Shrine, Past President of the Military Officers’ wives club and President of the Lake Tsala Gardens Community Club and a member of the Female Veterans Network of Citrus County. Barbara was also a very active member in the First Christian Church of Inverness, Fl.
