SECRETARY - CHERYL SMITH

Cheryl Smith is a proud Air Force Veteran. She currently serves as the secretary for the Female
Veterans Network. She was born in Landstuhl, Germany on an Air Force Base.
Cheryl joined the Air Force in 1986
shortly after high school graduation. She graduated from Still Photography School at Lowry AFB, CO. She was stationed at Peace AFB, NH and Torrejon AB, Madrid Spain during her time of service.
Highlights of her career include being assigned to photograph President Reagan and President George H. W. Bush during their visits to Peace AFB. She also enjoyed photographing the air refueling process with the KC-135s and F-16s. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, she graduated from Southwest Area Vocational Tech in Altus, OK with her Licensed Practical Nursing certification.
She worked as a
LPN in the telemetry, surgical and geriatric nursing field for 23 years. Cheryl is now retired and enjoys spending time with her husband of 19 years, three children, and six grandchildren. Cheryl enjoys gardening, crafts, and is an active member of the American Legion Post 155.
